World Book Day - Thursday 4th March
by Miss Stone - Tuesday, 2 March 2010, 12:28 PM

The first Thursday in March is the day that all Librarians look forward to more than their birthday and Christmas because it is 'World Book Day'. This Thursday, we will be offering free hot drinks and croissants to anyone who joins us before school to read their favourite book. Breaktime will be a celebration of reading and chocolate where anyone who takes out a book will receive a piece of 'Fairtrade' chocolate. Lunchtime will be the deadline for our 'Recycled Haikus' competition. So if you have not yet written a haiku about your favourite book, recycling or the Library, then come along and take five minutes to write one. You may even win a prize.

As it is such a special day, we will also be judging theĀ 'I Wish I had written ...' competition so look out for the names of the winners on Rickypedia.

See you Thursday!
